The amount of time spent from a user click on a search result to the moment they return to the search engine results pages (SERPs) is called dwell time. It’s actually the measurement of a user’s dwelling time from beginning to end with the SERPs.
Businesses frequently use dwell time to measure the overall success of their content or to estimate purchase intent among site users, as longer stay periods imply higher levels of interaction with a brand’s website. Longer stay periods are thought to be linked to more successful transactions.
